A Very Merry Un-Birthday...

So it's the day after my 21st birthday. I didn't go all out, no Vegas trip, no body shots. Three friends came over to my dorm (since I'm taking summer courses) and we had a few drinks and caught up on all that happened while I was studying abroad. That was it. The only pain I have is not the pain of a hangover headache, but rather the pain of having slept wrong. My neck hurts. That's it. So, if you have any ideas on how I can have a do-over, please let me know.
That's all folks...

Do You Really Want To Do This?

The answer is yes, I really think I do. Not sure what, but if it gets me out of this stinkin' rut, then yes. Man, going to a school in another country and only having class twice a week sorta messed up my schedule. Not to mention only having an online course so far this summer. Any suggestions on what to do for apparent insomnia? Cuz, I got nothin'. Yes, that was grammatically incorrect. If I do that on this blog, it's on purpose. I hate grammatical errors when they really are errors. Just one of my pet peeves...

OK, so the real meat of this post is for my thoughts (as it's supposed to be for the whole blog). Here are my thoughts today so far. Yay! My sister is coming to visit me next weekend! I'm going home this weekend, not only for a belated Father's Day (I wont be home until Monday), but also to renew my license. I turn 21 on Tuesday. WOOHOO! Anyway, back to my thoughts. Ug, I gotta work tonight and then tomorrow morning and then Sunday morning too. No worries, though. It's money and I'm a poor college student. I need money. Another "Yay!" because not only did I find the fourth season of Supernatural on DVD for $19 at Wal-Mart (P.S. That's probably my favorite show), but I also ordered seasons 2 and 3, which I did not yet own. Season 2 should be here later today. Yes! Oh and yet another "Yay!" because I thought of another twist for a story in a series I've been working on for ten years. It finally started to go somewhere about two years ago, though.

This series is called The Rose Legends and right now it consists of six "books". I put that last word in quotes since I am not yet published. I don't consider them books until they're published. Anyway, you can check out one of the latest drafts on FictionPress.com. Here's the full link:

When you get to the end of the chapter, there is a little tab you can pull down for the next chapter. I would LOVE reviews, good or bad. Please don't be crude or anything, though. That's just rude. I mean, if it sucks, then tell me why, you know? Constructive criticism. Simply tell me "it sucks" or "it's great" does not help. Details, people! Thanks!

I digress. Well, I guess that's all for now. Gotta go to lunch with my friends! Stay tuned for the next installment of... *dramatic music* "Randomocity!"

A Truly Random Beginning

Hey, guys. If you've read the blog "What's Under the Kilt?" by Marie, then you've already heard of me. Yep. I was bored and I felt the need to blog again.

I never thought I'd start a blog, that's for sure, but here I am... blogging... again.

That's not the point. The point is, I figured I could just blog about the random happenings of my life and update y'all. In case you hadn't noticed by the title, I can be extremely random. One day, I'll rant about a pet peeve and then next, I'll be crazy excited about the next Twilight movie. Don't let that last bit stop you, though. I'm not obsessed. I promise.

So right now, I'm waiting for my laundry to finish up before I go to work. I must say, it's weird to be back in the States after having spent four months abroad. It feels like it never even happened and the only things that prove I was there are the pictures! I miss my beloved Edinburgh and hope to make it back there some day. But, until then, I shall use it as a location in a story and simply hope for the best.

A little about the author of this blog:

I love to write stories. I'm in the process of writing a 6-book series in the science-fiction genre. This series is at the forefront of my writing and I plan on sending it in to publishing companies. Fingers crossed!
I also love to sing and write music, though my creation on the music front has been slightly less than productive. I've been teaching myself to play guitar and trying to further my piano skills as well, in the hopes of helping out the music-writing aspects of my life.
The real thing y'all might like to know is that I love to cook. I'm in school right now, earning my degree in Hospitality and Restaurant Management. Afterward, I hope to attend a culinary school in Nashville to earn an Associate's with a focus in Baking and Pastry. Ultimate goal? To own my own bakery. Yay!

So, now that you know a little more about me, enjoy!

I will probably do some reviews of books, movies, and even music on this blog. It is truly random!
